Hidden Falls in Minnesota's Big Woods State Park is a treasure in a portion of the original hardwood forests whixh once extended from Hudson Bay through middle America. Fred has included cameos of some of the wildflowers that bloom during the brief spring season when sun reaches the forest floor, before the tree canopy closes overhead. In the lower left corner is the rare Dwarf Trout Lily which only grows in a bits of two counties within these woods.

In 1997 Fred created the Minnesota state parks permit design recognizing Big Woods Park and recognizing their work to save this endangered flower.
